The Great Debate: Everything is fair game in communication!

February 12, 2019

THE IABC GREAT DEBATE IS BACK!

WHEN: Tuesday 12 February @ 5:30pm

WHERE: Henry and the Fox. 525 Little Collins Street

TIME: 5:30pm-6:00pm canapes, 6:00pm-7:30pm debate, event concludes at 8pm

On the back of the success of last year’s debate, Communication: It’s hard and fast not slow and steady, we’re proud to assemble another cracking team to duke it out on the following topic:

Everything is fair game in communication!

Have we lost our ability to engage in effective civil public discourse? Did we even ever have it? Polarisation currently dominates our public discourse and we often find ourselves avoiding participating in a discussion on contentious topics. We seem to be living the adage, any PR is good PR.

The line is blurred between addressing an issue and attacking a person. Are we, communication professionals, stewards of more civil discourse or is everything fair game in communication?

You be the judge. Grab your tickets now to help settle this debate once and for all!
